This collection contains the papers of Pomona College Classics professor Harry J. Carroll Jr. Carroll taught at Pomona from 1949 until 1983, and was a key actor in the development of Pomona's art history program. This collection contains the papers of John Howe Gleason, Pomona College professor of English History. Gleason led a distinguished teaching career and authored texts on English and British history. He travelled extensively in Europe, studied at Oxford University, and earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University.
